In March 2025, JKS Engineering AG strengthened its team with members from the former ESORO AG. This allowed the company to further diversify its innovation and engineering capabilities.
ESORO AG was and is known for developing and implementing successful projects. Its specialties include alternative drive systems such as hydrogen-powered trucks, the electrification of the world's first electric dumper truck, which has been in use for several years, and yachts in the nautical sector, among others. Not to be forgotten in this list are countless projects in many areas, such as medical rehabilitation, special equipment, and many highly specialized concept vehicles.
Following the insolvency of a customer, ESORO AG was also forced to cease operations. We are delighted to welcome the ESORO team and their customers to the JKS Group!
Battery technology: Development and production
The world is becoming electrified – modern high-voltage battery systems are the foundation for this. With the integration of the experienced engineering team from the former ESORO AG, JKS now has more than 30 years of expertise in the development of battery systems for cars, trucks, yachts, construction machinery, SKWS, and other applications.
Our expertise covers the entire value chain: from cell evaluation, packaging, cooling, system design, and BMS development for OEMs to the manufacture of complete and tested battery systems for small-series applications. We also have extensive experience in OTA monitoring and maintenance of such systems.

Nautical
A reliable energy supply is needed to ensure the comfort and safety of modern sailing yachts. In the past, the engineering team has developed, realized, and implemented numerous customized battery and high-voltage systems for sailing yachts and tourist ships.
Among other things, these solutions enable emission-free operation of the hotel grid during the night, high energy savings and, depending on the design, a significant reduction in the weight of the system. The portfolio also includes steer-by-wire and force feedback for maximum control and design freedom.
